Fela Kuti, Afrobeat & the 7UP Connection celebrated at Felabration 2015!

 

Felabration has since its inception, been at the pinnacle of live concerts and musical festivals in Nigeria; a celebration of an icon, done in a unique way yet unmatched on the African continent. This year, 7UP was also present to make the week-long event a memorable one.

For the 7th year in a row, 7UP helped bring together over a 100 of Nigeria’s biggest music artistes, comedians, a number of upcoming acts, and international bands.

With headlining performances from 2face, Femi Kuti, MI, Ice Prince, Yemi Alade, Cynthia Morgan, Skales, Reminisce, Seyi Shay, Third World, London Afrobeat Collective, Kiss Daniels, and a surprise comeback performance by Majek Fashek, this year’s event was clearly different from the rest.

7UP further fueled the festivities with great music from the 7UP branded DJ booth, and at the same time, interacted with stars and Afrobeat fans from all over the world on the green carpet.

Building on the relationship between the 7UP brand and Fela, which dates back to days of Lekki Sun Splash concerts, the brand has undoubtedly established itself as one of the biggest supporters of Afrobeat in the world.
