Egypt disputes Russia terror claim over crashed jet

Russian investigators said they found "traces of foreign explosives" on debris at the crash site and Russia subsequently suspended flights to Egypt.

An affiliate of the Islamic State militant group claimed responsibility for the incident.
The jet operated by Russia's Kogalymavia, also known as Metrojet, was traveling from Egypt's Red Sea resort city of Sharm el-Sheikh to St. Petersburg when it crashed in a remote area of Egypt's Sinai peninsula on Oct. 31.
The vast majority of the victims were Russian nationals returning from vacation and Russian President Vladimir Putin vowed to find and "punish" the perpetrators.
The Egyptian report did not specify why its findings differed from Russia's and said that its investigators had examined wreckage strewn over 10 miles, several dozen of the plane's computers and other technical information.
It did not say when it would publish its final report.
