Schweinsteiger suggests he can stick around

While Morgan Schnweiderlin and Memphis Depay are persona non grata at United, training away from the main squad, Bastian Schweinsteiger, an outcast himself for much of the season, appears to have been given a reprieve by Mourinho and could yet see out the season with United.

The rapturous reception Schweinsteiger's 77th-minute introduction showed just how highly he is regarded by United fans, despite an unconvincing, injury-plagued debut season last term.
Schweinsteiger may yet leave United this month, if the right deal can be struck, but there is every chance of him sticking around and playing a role from the bench between now and the end of the season
