While Morgan Schnweiderlin and Memphis Depay are persona non grata at
United, training away from the main squad, Bastian Schweinsteiger, an
outcast himself for much of the season, appears to have been given a
reprieve by Mourinho and could yet see out the season with United.
The
rapturous reception Schweinsteiger's 77th-minute introduction showed
just how highly he is regarded by United fans, despite an unconvincing,
injury-plagued debut season last term.
Schweinsteiger may yet
leave United this month, if the right deal can be struck, but there is
every chance of him sticking around and playing a role from the bench
between now and the end of the season
